My name is Kris Rhodes, and I have led a fortunate life. I have suffered pain, suffering and endured hardship. I have enjoyed happiness, achieved great things, and learned lessons. Everyone has regrets, but I have come to peace with mine. To those who I knowingly hurt, know that I never forgot you and always carried that with me as part of who I am and a reminder to be kind to others. To those who I have given happiness, that is all I ever wanted to give. I am happy. I had a second chance to live my life. I got to live the way I wanted to live, every day of my life, and even better, I have been able to share that happiness with others. I got to love the people who meant the most to me in my own way, even if I didn’t show it in ways that people recognised. There may have been many more things I wanted to do, but there were also many things that I did, and I have always been grateful to do them.

I know that each ride may be my last; fear is something to be respected but not controlling in our everyday actions. We can do anything, just not everything, so I tried to choose wisely. Fortune favours the brave and intelligent. These are the thoughts that I carry with me every time I ride.
